Award Criteria
Recipients must display exceptional human and ethical characteristics, and meet certain criteria in addition to the basic qualifying markers.
- Recipients must have obtained a degree or certificate from the Warner School of Education and Human Development.
- All nominees will remain in active consideration for three years from the date of nomination.
- The award will be presented to its recipient annually by the Warner School community, in coordination with the Warner School’s Commencement Ceremony, when possible. Awards are not presented in absentia, but may be presented posthumously.
- Ineligibility criteria include current Warner School employees, trustees of the University of Rochester, current members of the Warner School National Council, and political candidates during a year when they are actively pursuing election or re-election.
